If you are interested in joining our cooperative as a member artist, we welcome your application. Applications are available at our gallery.
Membership Benefits Include:
- Exhibition in
regular monthly shows (exhibits are
rotated on a monthly basis)
- Opportunity to
be featured in a one or two-person show on a rotating basis
- Display of
business cards, greeting cards, and up to 6 pieces in a gallery bin
- Display of
biography/portfolio books
- Representation
on the Gallery's website
Membership Requirements Include:
- Body of fresh and current work
available for monthly rotation
- Payment of annual dues
- Gallery sitting between 7 and 11 hours a month, in addition to helping out at special events.
- Attendance at monthly membership meetings
- Responsibility
for arrangements and expenses related to shows where the member's
work is specially featured
- Participation
in daily operation of the gallery and on at least one gallery committee
- Gallery
commission
on sales
Member selection is determined through a jurying process, which
takes place at the gallery's regular monthly business meeting. Selection is
based on artistic ability and the professional quality of the artist's
work. Only artwork created by the applicant will be considered. To be
considered for membership, the applicant must provide:
- 3 to 5 pieces
of original work in the media to be exhibited
- Photographs or
slides of additional work
- Artist's resume
and current artist's statement
- Press reviews, if available
