The Artists' Gallery, Inc. is Howard County's only artist-run cooperative gallery. The gallery's mission is to stimulate appreciation of the visual arts with shows by professional artists, working in varied styles and media. Exhibits are rotated on a monthly basis. Membership benefits include: exhibition in regular monthly shows opportunity to be featured in a one- or two-person show on a rotating basis display of business cards, greeting cards, and up to 6 pieces in a gallery bin display of biography/portfolio books representation on the Gallery's website Membership Requirements: Body of work available for monthly rotation Payment of cooperative fees Gallery sitting on a monthly schedule Attendance at membership meetings Responsibility for arrangements and expenses related to shows where the member's work is specially featured Participation in daily operation of the gallery and gallery committees Gallery commission on sales Member selection is determined by a juried process, which takes place at the gallery's regular monthly business meeting. Membership is based on the artistic ability and the professional quality of the artist's work. Only artwork created by the applicant will be considered.
